Christmas parties & festive private dining
From 15 October, Plaquemine Lock is open for Christmas parties, office dinners, festive lunches and private events, with Creole food, oysters, cocktails and live music running through the season.
Choose from a seated Festive Feast, a Louisiana-style jambalaya menu, or standing food and canapés for a looser party. For full private hire, we can also build the evening around your group, with bespoke timings, menus and music.

Our Spaces
Posso Room – Up to 16 guests, with high seating and standing space. The whole room is booked together and is best suited to drinks, canapés and finger food.
Dining Room – up to 40 seated or 60 standing. The restaurant can accommodate separate groups or be hired exclusively.
Bar Area – up to 12 guests standing. Drinks and standing nibbles / finger food.
Whole Pub – up to 48 seated or 100 standing. Full private hire gives you exclusive use of the whole venue.

For seated dinners, festive lunches, standing parties and full private hire, we have several ways to feed a crowd.
Festive Feast
£55 per person
Our full Creole Christmas set menu, with cornbread, a choice of starter and main, shared sides and desserts for the table.
Festive Lunch
£35 per person
A shorter daytime menu for private lunches and group bookings.
Festive Jambalaya
£48 per person
A more communal Louisiana-style feast, with starters followed by jambalaya for the table and dessert.
Standing parties
Canapés from £2 per person, plus standing buffet options and add-ons including oysters, po’boys, fried chicken and beignets.

What size bookings do you take?
For standard restaurant bookings of up to six guests, you can book via Seven Rooms here. For larger groups, private dining, Christmas parties and exclusive hire, please contact us.
Can I see a menu?
Yes. You can view our private dining and sharing menus here. We offer seated festive menus, private lunches, jambalaya feasts, canapés and standing food. Bespoke menus are generally reserved for full private hire.
Is Christmas & Thanksgiving different?
No. We serve the same Creole festive menu for Christmas and Thanksgiving. For Thanksgiving, you can usually make an ordinary restaurant reservation through Seven Rooms here. For Christmas dining, see our Christmas page here. For larger Christmas or Thanksgiving parties, private lunches and group events, please enquire with us directly.
What if we have dietary requirements?
Please tell us about allergies and dietary requirements when enquiring. We’ll do our best to accommodate them, but our kitchen handles a number of allergens and some menus cannot be adapted for every dietary requirement.
What is the minimum spend?
Minimum spends vary according to the space, date, time and type of booking. Tell us what you have in mind and we’ll put together the right option for your group.
Can we ask for music?
We have live music and our own swampy playlist running through the pub. For non-exclusive bookings, we can arrange musicians from our approved list. For full private hire, there is more flexibility to arrange your own entertainment, subject to prior agreement.
Can we book for lunch even if the pub is normally closed?
Yes. Private daytime bookings can be available from 11am, including on days when the pub is not otherwise open for lunch. You can view our private dining and sharing menus here.
