Louisiana Brunch in Islington

Plaquemine Lock serves a proper Louisiana-style pub brunch in Islington every Saturday, Sunday, and bank holiday Monday from 11am to 4pm. Expect fried chicken and pancakes, Eggs Sardou with artichoke, spinach and hollandaise, shrimp and okra gumbo, fresh baked cornbread, and pain perdu with brandy and pecans, all served by the canal with strong coffee, Bloody Marys, and a little Southern mischief.

We’re family-friendly, dog-welcoming, and always pouring. From coffee to Creole Bloody Marys and cold pints, this is brunch for people who like their weekends long, their food serious, and their atmosphere relaxed.
