Angel Canal Festival 2026

Sunday 6 September, 11am–4pm

Graham Street, Regent’s Canal, and City Road Basin, Angel

The Angel Canal Festival turns 40 this year, and once again takes over the canal around City Road Basin for a free day of boats, music, food and fairly eccentric entertainment.

Expect Morris dancing, Punch & Judy, live music, craft and food stalls, boat trips, kayaking, paddle boarding and traditional canal boats, all spread along the towpath, Graham Street and City Road Basin.

Plaquemine Lock sits right at the Graham Street entrance from Angel, so if you’re coming from the station, we are a very good place to start.

Oysters, sangria and Louisiana food

The Angel Canal Festival runs from 11am–4pm, and this year marks its 40th anniversary. There will be live music throughout the day, including our own Ten Bells Rag Band.

Outside Plaquemine, we’ll have a dedicated oyster station from 12pm–5pm, shucking oysters to order straight from the ice, plus shrimp, house beer and sangria for the street.

Inside, the full Louisiana menu will be running all day, with the pub open from 11am–10pm and the kitchen until 9pm.
